RE: ILX on Edmunds' List Of Quickest-Selling Vehicles

Dumb queston - what does "days to turn" mean in auto sales talk?

It this the average days a vehicle sets on the lot from off the transporter until customer signs on the dotted line and car is out the door?

Whatever it is - FOURTH place sounds pretty good.[hr]
Also - is anyone else curious as to why FORD, CHEVROLET or CHRYLSER are all missing from the top 20. Unless they were excluded altogether from the list then this is really telling about state of USA auto manufactors.

That is my understanding.

However, it is not surprising to see a brand new vehicle at the of the lists, as that is the point in the model's lifecycle when demand is highest and supply is lowest. The telling data is how much time a car stays on the list.

Look at the Audi Q5, ranked 15th. That vehicle has been available for quite some time yet still is in very high demand.

RE: ILX on Edmunds' List Of Quickest-Selling Vehicles

I'm not surprised by the quick surge. We just got our shipments in to the dealership a few months back. We've had a bunch of interest in the one's on the showroom, mostly people just curious as to what category it falls under. I think the biggest take away so far is that everyone is curious about the MPG numbers. The price point's a good measure as well. You figure it's roughly 3,000-4,000 difference from other base models.

If I had to pick a personal favorite of mine so far, it'd be the 5-speed, 2.0L I-4 version. And definitely a Fathom Blue Pearl exterior trim. But that's just because I'm a long-time suffering Royals fan

Also, I was looking through online video reviews and stumbled upon this pretty sweet review. It's got a little bit of a "shaky cam" effect going for it, but the quality's good nonetheless.
