1.MLS shuts down Dallas move for homegrown star

MLS has kept FC Dallas from landing one of the promising young players in the club's homegrown area, according to a Dallas Morning News report.

Chris Cappis, a talented midfield prospect, had a claim put in for him as a homegrown player by FC Dallas, but the Houston Dynamo filed a complaint that under the homegrown signing rules in MLS they had rights to the player.

Cappis is now set to sign with Hobro IK in Denmark rather than launching his career with and MLS side.

2. Chelsea and City battling for Sunderland teen

Chelsea and Manchester City are both chasing Sunderland teen Bali Mumba, according to iThe Sun.
City were willing to pay 2.5 million for the youngster and were thought to be leading the chase, but the Blues have now entered the race as well.

3. Moses and Drinkwater don't fit with Sarri

Maurizio Sarri gave an explanation as to why Victor Moses and Danny Drinkwater are out of favour at Chelsea.
The new Chelsea boss does not think the two players fit in his style of play.

4. Calhanoglu could leave Milan in January

AC Milan will ship out Hakan Calhanoglu in order to make room for Lucas Paqueta, according to Tuttosport.

Milan have already agreed to a 35 million (31m/$40m) plus add-ons deal with Flamengo for Paqueta, while Calhanoglu's role in Gennaro Gattuso's plans continues to shrink.

That could lead to Calhanoglu's January exit, with a return to the Bundesliga in the card with RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt interested.

5. Sanchez wages blocking Man Utd from extending key players

Talks have slowed as players point to the forward's wages in their own negotiations

Alexis Sanchez's wages are a big problem as Manchester United attempt to sign David De Gea and Anthony Martial to new contracts, according to the Mirror.

The Chile international makes 400,000-a-week, with another 75,000 for every appearance and now other players are pointing to those wages as they negotiate new contracts.

De Gea wants 300,000-a-week, while Martial is seeking over 140,000-a-week, with United only able to exercise options on the pair through the 2019-20 season.

6. Pochettino after Colombia international

Mauricio Pochettino is hoping to land Colombia international Wilmar Barrios in January, according to the Daily Star.
Barrios intends to leave Argentine side Boca Juniors at the start of the year and could be Tottenham's first signing of the season after they nearly landed him in the summer.

But Real Madrid remain interested and are preparing a 20 million ($26m) bid despite the midfielder having just a 16m release clause, which Pochettino fears could spark a bidding war for Barrios' services in January.

7. Stones wants new Man City contract

John Stones wants a new contract to remain with the club and Manchester City are happy to give him a bumper deal, according to Metro.
The Premier League champions are not keen to make many big additions to their squad and have instead sought to tie down the players already on the roster.

Though Stones is already signed until 2022 on 100,000-a-week, the club is willing to raise that to 170,000-a-week in order to continue with that policy and reward the defender for his development.

8. Bayern Munich front-runners for Ramsey

Allen Ramsey has a new suitor in Bayern Munich and the Bundesliga champions are in pole position to sign him, reports the Daily Express.
Ramsey's contract expires this summer and he is unlikely to sign a new contract with the Gunners.

Manchester United had seen him as their top priority, but Bayern want to sign him to a pre-contract at the start of January, when he is eligible to a deal.
