Jose Mourinho is worried about a lack of support at Manchester United despite feeling a lack of support from the club , The Times claims. The scrutiny for the Portuguese boss is at a high point following Tuesday's 0-0 draw with Valencia.

2. Mourinho could be sacked next week

The under-fire Manchester United boss may not last much longer at Old Trafford . Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho could be sacked next week if his side lose to Newcastle on Saturday, claims The Sun.

The Magpies will visit Old Trafford without a league win this season, and should their first victory come against Mourinho's struggling side it could prove too much for the club's board, who have lost faith in the Portuguese manager. Mourinho's status at the club is being helped, however, by former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane distancing himself from the Old Trafford job.

3. Henry wants Aston Villa job

Thierry Henry wants to be named Aston Villa manager, according to the Mirror. Villa sacked Steve Bruce on Wednesday after a poor run of form, and the current Belgium assistant is hoping to take over the Championship side for his first managerial role.

The Midlands club are also considering a move for Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez.

4. Rabiot wants 10m per season

Soon-to-be free agent Adrien Rabiot is telling interested teams that he wants a deal lasting four or five years and worth 10 million (9m/$11m) per season, reports Calciomercato. Rabiot's contract with PSG expires at the end of the season and little progress is being made on an extension.

Plenty of teams across Europe are lining up to sign the France international but he will not come cheaply, with clubs not required to pay a transfer fee.

5. Fonseca a target for Villa's managerial job

Paulo Fonseca had been linked with taking over as manager for Aston Villa, the Birmingham Mail claims. Following the sacking of Steve Bruce, Villa are looking to appoint a high-profile new boss.
Fonseca is currently at Shakhtar Donetsk and was linked with Everton this summer, and is also connected with Portuguese super-agent Jorge Mendes, who will play a part in assisting Villa in their search over the international break.

6. Crew finalizing permanent move for Abu

The Columbus Crew are finalizing a deal that will see Mohammed Abu move to Norwegian club Valerenga on a permanent deal, the Columbus Dispatch reports. Abu went to Valerenga on loan in August with the initial plan being to get him more playing time, but the Ghanaian is now set to stay in Europe.

7. Pepe becoming too expensive for Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund are being priced out of a move for Lille striker Nicolas Pepe, claims Le10Sport. Clubs across Europe are queuing up to sign the 23-year-old, with Arsenal and Barcelona just two of the teams with a reported interest. That demand will likely see Pepe become too expensive for Dortmund, who aren't willing to bid more than 30 million (27m/$34m) for his services.
