Rice's contract runs through 2020 and has him on 3,000 a week, with the club ready to raise that to 12,000 - something that the teenager and his representatives believe is insultingly low.

West Ham are refusing to come off their offer, which only increases the chances Rice leaves as he draws interest from the top clubs in the Premier League.

Arsenal and Manchester United are credited with an interest in Lille attacker Nicolas Pele by France Football.
